Telecom deal sealed. Trade unions are not bothered even if it is sold to Prabakaran...

Another fraud has been successfully completed by the Brother's Company last week. After shutting down Wimal Weerawansha's mouth by threatening him about revealing his old connections regarding some projects, The Rajapaksha trio has succeeded in getting the advantage of SLT.

Chairman of the Telecommunications Officers Union Rohan Nishanka told the media in Colombo this evening that the deal to sell 25.3% shares of Sri Lanka Telecom to Maxis Company in Malaysia has already been completed over the past week.

This media briefing was organized by the SLT trade unions association.

Nishanka said that there is no issue in selling the shares to Maxis or even Prabakaran but all what they want is for the government to include 10 conditions of theirs into the agreement which the government plans to sign with the company. He said if those conditions are not met, they would launch a strong trade union action.

A journalist questioned the chairman how could he talk about an agreement if the deal has already being closed. Then Nishanka said he could say with responsibility that the deal has already been closed, but he said the relevant officials should furnish their requests in the agreement that is yet to be signed.

Then the journalists questioned whether the deal was finalized with the Maxis company?

When LeN questioned whether the 10 million dollar comis that was supposed to be a part of the deal also realized, Nishanka said getting a comis is a normal thing and if such a sum was obtained from the deal the money would ultimately come to the country. Heavily criticizing the Japanese NTT company Nishanka said they welcome any company other than NTT in to the administration.

As revealed by the chairman of the Telecommunications Officers Union the deal has been completed while the parliamentary debate on the matter is being fixed for the 8th of this month.
